Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC) are an amorphous polymer produced by a number of polymer manufacturers. •            In September 2022, Polyplastik plans to build a new facility in Leuna, Germany, to produce Topas cyclic olefin copolymer, a glass polymer commonly used in medical devices. The facility will more than double the facility's capacity by adding 20,000 tonnes of annual capacity. Two months ago, the Japanese company Daicel announced that it would acquire Celanese as its Poliplastik partner, and two months later the Japanese company decided to establish a factory.
